Indeed, one of the great benefits our academy offers is the chance to achieve a certificate that proves your knowledge in English. The ABA English certificate is issued by the American & British Academy and states the level passed, the linguistic competencies acquired based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), the number of hours needed to complete the course and the date obtained. Therefore, it is a valid certificate for proving your English level, and although it refers to the “European Framework”, this is used as a main reference criterion all over the world.
If you want to know about its official nature, bear in mind that no certificate is official in itself. To determine the official nature of a certificate, public institutions must certify it as such. The issue is that some certificates have more prestige than others and are used more often as justification of a person’s level in a language; however, these can change depending on the body asking for justification of linguistic competencies and this body decides which certificate is valid for its institution.
Remember that if you have a Premium subscription and have completed all of the exercises in a level, your certificate will be made available on your account. You can download it from the Campus (web) from the menu on the left-hand side, by clicking on the certificate icon. You can also obtain it via the app, by going to your account, clicking on the user icon and then on the ‘certificates’ option.
